Set-up your university email-account with Thunderbird

 

 

  1. Open Thunderbird
  2. Right click on the main toolbar
  3. Left click on the menu bar

  1. In the new menu bar click on Tools
  2. In Extra on account settings

  1. In the new window on the bottom left click on account actions
  2. In the next window clock on add Email account

  1. In the pop up window fill out the personal information in the given input fields
  2. Don´t clock on done yet though
  3. Click on the field edit manually instead

 

5. 

  1. Switch from SSL to SSL/TLS under the IMAP line

 

6.

  1. Under the authentication section of the IMAP line, switch to a password

7.

  1. Under the SMTP line, switch from SSL to SSL/TLS

8.

  1. As for authentification of the SMTP line, select password
  2. The setting up of the account is done
